Safety Surfacing
One of the important choices you’ll need to make at the start of a playground project is which type of safety surfacing to put under it. Proper safety surfacing greatly reduces the risk of injury while giving your playground a cohesive aesthetic appeal. Playground equipment should never be installed over hard surfaces such as concrete, asphalt, compacted ground, or grass, since these surfaces offer little to no impact absorption. Only products tested to ASTM F1292 standards are appropriate playground surfacing materials.

Wood Fiber
Cost-effective engineered wood fiber known for its ability to absorb high impacts, as well as excellent slip resistance and accessibility. ADA compliant, low maintenance, this soft surface will require ongoing raking and occasional topping off during its lifetime due to compaction and decomposition.

Bonded Shredded Rubber
Our unique hybrid system combines the superior safety ratings associated with loose-ll systems with the accessibility, low maintenance and design options that a unitary surface provides. RubberBond’s compacted cushion layer is patent pending, softer, safer, and environmentally friendly. Our cushion layer is topped with a full 1.5 inch thick top layer. That’s 3 times thicker than standard poured-in-place!
Synthetic TURF
Our high-quality line of synthetic turf surfacing is durable and non-abrasive providing longevity and realistic appeal of freshly cut natural grass. It is available in 2 colors and weight options and unlike real grass, this system meets ASTM 1292 standards so that its perfect for playgrounds and other recreational spaces.
Rubber tiles
A low maintenance option, these are available in 2' x 2' tiles in various thicknesses that correspond to fall height requirements ranging from 2.25 to 3.75 inches. Tiles will not mold, mildew or resist fading. Offered in multiple colors, tiles can be easily replaced in high traffic areas.
